Summer Activities
Creating space for play, learning, and connection during the school holidays.
What happened
Across the summer programmes, children took part in a wide range of activities designed to be engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate. Sessions included outdoor play, sports, creative activities, trips, and group games.
Some activities involved day trips and outdoor challenges, giving children opportunities to experience new environments. The programme also created opportunities for families to come together, supporting parents by providing reliable activities when childcare is limited.
Reflecting on the programme
The Summer Activities offered children time away from routine, space to play freely, and opportunities to connect with others in a safe environment. For many families, the programme helped reduce isolation during the holidays.
Support & Partners
The Summer Activities were delivered with the support of local partners, community organisations, and volunteers.
Collaboration helped make activities accessible and responsive to the needs of families taking part.
