Arts & Crafts
With University of Bristol
Creating, learning, and sharing time together. A series of creative sessions delivered in collaboration with University of Bristol students.
What happened
Across multiple sessions, children took part in a range of arts and crafts activities supported by university volunteers. The activities encouraged imagination, problem-solving, and self-expression. As the sessions continued, participation grew and children became more confident in trying new ideas.
A shared experience
The atmosphere was informal and friendly. Children, volunteers, and organisers worked side by side, sharing materials, ideas, and conversation. The sessions showed how simple creative activities can bring people together and create moments of confidence.
Why it mattered
The sessions provided more than creative time. They created space for children to focus, explore, and feel proud of what they made.
Working alongside University of Bristol students also helped build positive connections between young people and volunteers, making the sessions welcoming and supportive for everyone involved.
